100% this. Its a maturity thing and a cultural thing I believe. And it seems to drop off the smaller the game mode and the higher you climb the ladder I have found. Thats not always the case nobodys perfect but in General it has been my observation.
I had a player with a very Arian screen name call me a bunch of racial slurs because I beat his ass.
The internet is like booze. Instant courage. There is no "He may punch me in the face" risk.
If you were playing with people from Asia (mainly China and Southeast Asia(Not saying everybody is the same)),(I always end up playing with people from US and Europe.) then I can say that it is normal to be insulted. Hang around in Southeast Asia long enough and you can see people competing to be the "jerk of the month" |
I'd say the best community I've been in was the CS:GO competitive-mode community, it has a fairly equal share of good and bad people.
In CoH2 most people either never talk, or insult you, even if you try to be nice. This thread shows the true colours of the people here, most of them acting like immature jerks because someone thinks we should be polite to each other (a scary and foreign concept, I know!)
Good for you, in CS:GO competitive, I get the worst of the bunch every single game. Now I barely play competitive because of those guys not working together. Fail 1v3 = kick. Succeed 1v3 = said to be lucky. |
It's the Eastern Front after all, everybody hates each other.
Jokes aside, It's just modern generation gamer that have probably been raised poorly. I'm <20 years old but at least I don't rage at my opponents. I know that if I lose it's my own fault. |
Steelseries Sensei RAW Frost Blue.
Really the greatest mouse I've ever used. I hate ergonomic mouse since I can feel the imbalance in weight which is not very good if you play FPS. (No balance in weight = No accuracy) Left Mouse, Right mouse, Middle mouse, 2 extra buttons at each side. Can't ask for anything more than that. |
Just played a match and only heard the voice and not a written message. Too bad my announcer blocked it with his voice. |
I think DLC commanders are just fine. They add more to the gameplay. My personal fav is spearhead. Very solid. |
We've seen them in CEVO tournament last night. Barton for example got one.
Was it useful for Barton? Can't see them being effective with that low amount of shells and small AoE.

I had an idea once where if the gun's HP reaches 0, there'll be a chance for it to instead get a " critical damage" critical and you'll be able to repair it back to full health, recrew it, and fire.
Alternative, combine it with the decrew idea. Say the crew hops off, the gun instead gets the critical instead of destruction, the crew can repair it back to operational health, then get back on and fire. I don't think the crew should know how to repair. Leave the repairs to the engineers. I don't mind if the tankmen repair their machine though since they need to know how to irl. |
Hey I burned my hand on a firecracker once! They are dangerous! I would say thats about how good arty is in game too...Poor Grens get boo boos and need band aids after it shoots..... Lol good one. The thing I do if someone barrages me with katyusha or pwerfer is just stay there. |
They should give howies a fuel cost and tone the manpower down, though maybe WFA will change that and their effectiveness.
Gun could also use more HP to survive being one-shotted by off-maps or maybe they could allow the crew to jump off and allow them to get another gun for cheaper price IF the gun they were previously on blows up. Given that the Americans can get out of their vehicles I don't see why howies can't change. I doubt anyone would send their squishy three man arty crew to try and cap the map unless their desperate. Good idea. This way stuka dive bombing isn't 100% useful against howitzers. |
