Although effective, it does not work very well since my army is lacking one gren or mg already. My BO is gren gren gren MG gren gren then T2 pak pak. The thing that beats me is the 5 squad rifle blob with Lt and a few BARs. And lately, I noticed people are just BAR rushing wherever they go. Maybe it's just my rankings from not playing online much (getting dropped, probably connection) Master Katitof, what is your BO with sniper? Having opposite units with different optimal distances is generally a good dynamic in terms of gameplay. Yes, all LMGs are best used at long range. For the "real fight" there are G43s available, use that if you prefer your fights at closer range. I'm fine if I do not win every engagement. But the way to beat a rifle squad is just to beat them before they even come near. For the G43, It needed 2 squads to be effective. I guess I'm fine with it but I don't really use doctrines with G43 much since the LMG42 seem more appealing. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: LMGs..........Again30 Jun 2014, 12:29 PM This is the 2nd thread from me about LMGs. Lately I notice to beat the American riflemen I have to kill them at max range first. This means I must get LMG42 for every gren squad. The LMG would be better off as a close range weapon from what I see. I prefer that I get to choose whether to get an LMG42 for a close range boost or leave the grens with 4 rifles to fight long range. I hate the current rule that to win against Americans I must get LMGs, and I must beat them before the real fight started (real fight = close range). I'm fine with getting HMGs but LMGs for every squad... Make the G43s long range again. Give cons the PPS42 smg upgrade if needed to make them close range specialist. PPSH41 will replace the PPS42 upgrade. Anyone agrees? If not, please state your reasons. In: COH2 Gameplay

Well, how about we give the conscripts a PPS42 upgrade and the doctrinal PPSH41 will replace the PPS42 upgrade instead. This way cons that close in will very likely win. The only thing Relic needs to do is make the PPS42 dps slightly lower than the PPSH. Cons will have a weapon upgrade. Everyone is happy.(I think). In: COH2 Gameplay

It's quite ridiculous that you can kill a HMG team with a huge army of LMG users. I killed a Soviet Maxim crew in 4 seconds with 2 squads of LMG42 grens. Getting my 2 men sniper team sniped by G43 is better than being sniped by the LMG42. At least I can escape the G43 before it was nerfed but not the LMG42 after the long range buff. Now, if they could only combine the technical aspect from Red Orchestra 2 (interior modeling, and animation, limited to realistic view ports), but the increased amount of content like War Thunder (including additional factions to be released), I would be in hog heaven. War Thunder tank + Red Orchestra 2 complexity = heaven. Just imagine killing a t34 player because the guy decided to use the periscope and get a limited view instead of sticking his head out.
