I think the damage related to soviet mines should be reduced to a point where the maximum amount of gren models that can be killed in one mine hit is 3, and that's at a 15% chance, considering they're at full health.
+1, same thing for s-mines if they turn out to be doing the same when fixed. |

This shows direct hit, from ISU with HE-fragmentation shell, on Panther
_____________
The solution could be some ability that switch between HE and AP shell.
if you look close there are allot of shell scars on that front mantle. i would say there was some poof going on there. Turret yea that one provably was a 1 shot, but, how many rounds did it take to hit that? All the Russian armor was horribly inaccurate due to shit optics. those are obviously captured panthers at a test range, not in a battle. |

ISU was fine? I still have nightmares when ISU shoots Panther with "poof"...
ISU is an assault gun that should be shooting HE. It shouldn't have pen and amazing scatter in the same shot. Also you ground attack rear of panther. boom not poof. if you didn't know about attack ground then no wonder you had problems with isu. |

Would anyone have a problem if they just changed it back to how it was pre-patch? I have no idea why Relic even changed it in the first place, thought it was perfectly fine (if a TAD expensive)
Because Soviet fanboys were on the forums crying about lack of AT. The IS2 is now a reskinned Tiger etc. The t34 needed some love thats for sure, but the isu was fine the way it was. IS2 need better pen, but thats it. |
What would happen if you shot the mines with a mortar or pak with a soviet tank on it, would it still not cause damage?

What I don't find fun about competitive aspect of the game?
6-7 out of 10 games my opponent is inferior and represents no challenge. Some people get 10-20 winning game streaks and they are overjoyed, I get 10 game wining streak and I don't wish to play anymore. (I don't mean this as insult in any way, I believe everyone should play what they enjoy)
Thats why I prefer team games, where other players compensate for inferior players and you get more balanced games that actually last longer then 15 min, and have swings, players doubling up on 1 and generally unexpected things that happen during the match.
I used to play 1v1 games in VCOH, mostly vs friends who were similar skill (custom game) or vs friends who are inferior where I would use only infantry or only eng and mines.
I get sick of ranked 1v1 quickly from 2 reasons, win to many games with no challenge and seeing/using same tactics/builds game after game.
Hope that helps you understand
P.S. Playing competitive and for fun doesn't reflect mode you play. Competitive by definition means you want to win and rank up.
For example a lot of skirmish players are competitive in nature and they are proud of their 80 game win streak vs expert AI.
Likewise, playing competitive game has its element of fun. Its the element you draw most satisfaction from that is deciding factor when it comes to which game mode one plays.
If one hates losing and wants to win badly, one is most likely to play 1v1 or 2v2 arranged team because one will have rage attack when losing because of random teamates. If one hates losing even more than average 1v1 player, one plays skirmish.
My point is that its unreasonable to think that people don't play 1v1 because they are scared primarily, and assuming that everyone who plays anything other simply isn't 'good enough' for 1v1.
People just play what they enjoy
I agree with you, I personally can't stand skirmish, or arty fest like Sheldt. But, hey a lot of people enjoy it. Cannot say they are wrong for playing it

Agree, let me just quote myself from different topic:
"Elephnat and ISU range is not the problem. Let it be 100 but just reduce accuracy. For example (idk how this is sovled. Its just example) 1-50 95% chance to hit, 51-60 85% and over 60 it could be drastically decreased, 61-70 70%, 71-80 60%, 81-90 50% and 91-100 35%. That is just example how mechanic should works in my opinion."
Range is OK. Just reduce accuracy with distance.
That won't help with ISU being AT, AI, and long range. Elephant needs a sight decrease on binocs that's for sure. 75 range for would help considering how small most of the maps are in all modes. |
These are the final adjustments that need to be done for the current game to be balanced for sure. Really like the part about kv1 front armor increase. I think the ISU needs a damage nerf, something more than a range decrease, it is way too powerful atm. |
Panther got pen patched today. anyone use it yet? |
