I suppose the fact that penetration works as intended in coh and low chance is still a chance.
OP also needs to learn what "counter" actually means and how it is different then "once in a blue moon pen".

As long as penetration chance is above 3%, it might happen. Greyhound can penetrate King Tiger frontally.
In fact, 222 can penetrate IS-2 frontally.

This has nothing to do with the performance of the panther or M8A1, its just bad micro. You could have lost a KingTiger the same way if you used it like that.
