Hey,
The ladder is great but unless you're in the top 200 it is really difficult to guage one's progress compared to others in a similar EOL.
I have no idea where my position correlates in the overall scale of player ratings, I sit around 1300, but I have no idea what that means, I am sitting in the middle, the bottom? Does it make me a mid skilled player, low skilled player?
So my question is really can COH2.org or Relic expand the ladders to include upto 5000 players? I choose 5000 as that seems to be roughly the active player base.
In addition here some other suggestions.
Add a link from player card to ladder position
Add last 5 opponents

There are definitely more than 5000 active accounts, but other than that I'm not sure I follow. Are you given a rank no matter where you are in the standings?

Permanently BannedI speak about 1v1 now. There is noob level at 100-200 however they are noobs at top 30 too like Paradox and a middle lvl is about 30-100. Btw they are good players who doesnot play often and are in 200+ like Barton.

I believe so, if you've played MP you get a rank in the ladder.

Permanently Bannedit was the "rating" you asked for.
I was lvl 14 in vcoh(that is a strong middle level) and was in top 30 in new steam version(mention the drophackers in the front page) and in COH2, in the leaderboards after 50+ they are easy prey for me( i am 21. german atm however didnt play since 3 weeks).

Permanently Bannedbut as i said, this is an average rating. They are plenty good players out there who win tournament in coh1 but they arenot in the top in coh2 cuz for example they dont play so much like Symbiosis.

I sort of understand what you mean, but I still think all players should be able to see the position in the ladder.

rather than expand the ladder add some simple paramaters. Trending CoH2 players under say rank 200? Then you get a more concise list than some litany of players joining good lobbies. Perhaps let the trending algorithm be a mixture of both ELO increase and win streak?
Are K/D ratio, and avg. dmg. per match accessible through API? Stats like that would be very telling of a talented up and coming player.

@wuff
We receive our data for the ladder from Relic. They provide us with a table for the top200 in rating and top200 wins. We can't simply increase it to 5000, because we don't have the data. The compromise was that you can still search for individuals. So, even if you aren't in the top200 you can make a player search and look up anyones stats.
Currently there is the problem of ladder decay, which is nonexistent. During the Beta people gained more XP than in retail, so that a lot of the top spots are occupied by Beta players, who stopped playing early.
Once this problem is fixed (they are working on it), anyone decent should be able to make it into the top 200 or close. Top 5000 is overkill in that sense.
