Well this commanders thing seem a lot like COH online, with players only been able to switch between them a few times in a game, according to the PCGZing article.

What do you guys think about it?

So that's what the commander archetypes are. It seems CoH2 is fairly influenced by CoH Online. Hope the beta starts soon. Hard to know what to think until I've tried it.

He didn't say that, he said that before the game you can take 3 commanders (doctrines) and once you are ingame you can switch between your commanders a few times, as if you could change your doctrine ingame. At least this is what I understood :)

Yes you unlock them with Command Points I guess :) (it's just under the 1st ability)

Commanders are for multiplayer, the stuff you read in the quinn's duffy interview is related to coop and single player.

Hmm good question, maybe the one in the left corner, I just can't think at what it could be useful for :)

It will be better than coh online just by letting you change them while your in game, or it would have took away a tactical element of game play which can be really useful while playing.

The cloud thingy under the temperature meter (I have no clue what it is, on a second thought it might be the CP ammount) I'd guess is the button for the tactical map?

Well allowing you to switch commanders while fighting certainly gives you some strategic flexibility. Could certainly also lead to some interesting strategic shifts in a fight.

it could be also possible that you can "build" your own doctrins like it was in coh: o

so you have a unit and ability pool and can build out of these your 6 doctrin abilitys/call-ins

Lady Xenarra: Does anyone else think that USF needs buffs? It feels like they’re on life support sometimes
01 Apr 2025, 02:36 AM
Willy Pete: @Rosbone Ahh I missed that memo. I still think its a bad decision though. Adds frustration for players and isnt gonna make them that much money
27 Mar 2025, 15:46 PM
Rosbone: It is also good they left it free until after the free to play weekend. Points for that.
27 Mar 2025, 09:34 AM
Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
27 Mar 2025, 09:32 AM
Rosbone: To be fair, it was a thank you to early fans right? They said it was not free for long and it would become a pay DLC at some point.
27 Mar 2025, 09:30 AM
Willy Pete: Re-releasing free DLC so they can charge new players money for it. Brilliant marketing strategy

Willy Pete: @Nickbn you didn't ask a question, and this is a chat box...
20 Mar 2025, 13:11 PM
Nickbn: @Rosbone it's incredibly rude to speak on someone elses behalf, especially when a question is directly adressed to them. I understand your passion for the subject at hand but I want to hear from him.
20 Mar 2025, 10:16 AM
Rosbone: @Nickbn No, I am just saying people should not be using any Relic owned forum since they have proven they ban anyone who says true things about Coh3.
