Apologies if this has already been posted, and I honestly have looked around the forum and guides section before posting.

Is there information available anywhere that details how veterancy works in CoH2? |The benefits that different units see when moving up the veterancy levels? I understand a lot of units gain an ability when reaching Vet 1, but when watching replays on FLN or commentaries from the great and the good, they are always talking about how this Vet 3 P4 now has 2,000,000,000% more damage, and that Vet 2 mortar can take a direct hit from a nuke and laugh about it.

Has this information been published anywhere for the peasants to take a look at?

The only thing i know is that you get veterancy from taking or giving damage. 75% for giving and 25% for taking.

German units generally get a surviveability buff at vet2, and a damage dealt buff at vet3.

Russian units work the other way round- damage dealt buff at vet 2 and surviveability buff at vet3.

Most units - german and russian get an ability unlock at vet1(with their stats unchanged)

What wiseboar said above is correct also.

There used to be a unit stats site which got taken down. It showed vet bonuses. A new one will hopefully come soon. In the meantime check out:

Panzergrens should be like original Grenadiers and come with "Upgraded" KAR98's whilst having an upgrade option of either Panzershrecks (120), MP44's (60) or G43's (60).

At least this in my opinion would give more range choice.

I assume you mean "un-upgraded kar98's"

Sounds like a plan, but then why have pgrens? Just give the upgrade options all to normal grens?

See the thing is, pgrens cost way more than grens, so they should be better out of the box. If they come with kar98's they should be cheaper.

Thanks for the responses lads. Appreciate any clarity on it.

In one of the streams, Tommy, or Fatal mentioned a 60% damage buff. Is that the level we are talking about?

Germans receive a 2.25 armor bonus at vet 2, and 1.78 accuracy bonus at vet 3. (sniper gets rof)

Soviets get a 1.25 armor bonus and 1.78 accuracy bonus at vet 2, and an additional 1.44 armor bonus at vet 3 for a total of 1.8 armor bonus.

Vehicles go the same way, with german damage reduction at vet 2, damage bonus at vet 3, while soviets mimic their infantry.

Mind you vet is a modifier and not flat bonus, so a 1.5 armor gren squad at vet 2 will have 3.375 armor at vet 2, or significantly higher than a shock squad.

I just did some digging into vehicle vet:

Vet 2 Soviet receives 1.78 damage bonus, along with a .875 received damage modifier. Vet 3 changes the received damage to .6

Vet 2 German gives a .45(!) received damage modifier, vet 3 gives a 1.78 damage bonus.

Mauser, i mean PG's should have a better version of the rifle that Grenadiers have. This would make the cost difference of 50% have some meaning. The upgrades are too add variation.

You mean a G43? The gewehr 43 was basically an upgrade for the kar98.

They have more armor and have stg44's. This already justifies the price difference. Only thing i would change is make schreks purchaseable for ~60-80munis each. You dont always want two. I would prefer two squads with one schrek each, making them much more versatile. Atm they become shitty vs infantry if you buy two schreks.
