Firefly and Jackson are too good

StuG like youve never StuGd before. That's all wehrmacht/ostheer has ever had. They haven't been able to scale into the lategame since at least brits (9/2015). None of the patches since have actually tried to address this. (Tech costs, adjusting doctrinal units and panthers have only avoided the issue.)

The point is of course the later factions usf and ukf have units and mechanics that trounce what ostheer can provide. Same has always been true for SOV v OKW.

Jackson is good.

Firefly has cheese, but it's not as good vanilla.

But neither stands up against cost efficiency and RoF of the Stug. Stug is love, stug is ife.
OKW is rolling with light vehicles AI or/and then transitioning to PIVs and JPIVs.

Jackson only becomes a problem when you face 2 or more. A well micro'd p4 can take on a Jackson lol.

Jackson is already getting nerfed and the firefly is in no way OP, if anything the FF needs a slight cost reduction

Firefly and Jackson TDs are too good. Don't the Germans have any tank destroyer with the same range as these tanks?

I'm all for historical accuracy but maybe Germans need a tank destroyer with long range? Is the Elephant such a tank?

JgTiger has *MORE* range than allied TDs.
Also, StuG in Hulldown has *MORE* range than allied TDs.

But don't worry, soon allied TDs will be gone from the game.
Then we'll finally have a balance game :) Rejoice!

And, yea, look it up. StuIIIG in Hulldown really has more range than any allied TD :)
(And JgTiger too!)

Elefant, I don't know. It's either equal, or more range.
PS: You can put Elefant in hulldown. WAY WAY WAY more range.

Also Pak43 has more range.
And then there is...

While I am on the Axis side here, putting a StuG or an Elefant in hull down is probably not the best idea as the cannot turn their turrets.

Put the ostheer panther in hulldown = God's Hammer. 62.5 range, 4 second reload. Defensive bonus damage reduction. This unit and this unit alone is probably the reason we're going to see the hulldown rework. Because the panther is starting to be reworked into a suitable state of current TDs.

Only problem is teching t4 in 1v1 :faint:

I think the Ostwind was the unit cited for Hull Down losing its RoF bonuses.

The range bonuses remain: apparently they weren't included in offensive buffs.

That's also probably true, so both can be the cause for the rework. How they ever determined "range" on the OFFENSIVE armament to be a defensive bonus is beyond me.

I find it kind of ridiculous that of all things in this game, it's hulldown that's being targeted.

OMG Yes. That was the way to show those filthy teabags how a Bofors feels :snfPeter:

Been experimenting with USF

Not gonna lie, major tech seems to slow me down. Like the major is good and all but why not just go for pershing call in.. or if you're not feeling like using this OP beast

Go for cheap m10 call'ins!

Honestly I feel the Jackson is more of a support/finisher rather than a 1v1 tank

A bofors wipes a squad almost every volley. A hulldown ostwind most certainly does not. It suggest to wipe an idle squad sitting at range for a minute.

Wasn't exactly freaking out. I just remember testing the two after the recent ostwind changes were justifying the proposed nerf to hulldown.

I was kind of expecting to see Bofors performance out of the Ostwind and not, well, more of the same old marginal performance the Ostwind has always had.

Why you would even build t4 when you can just spam more (somewhat nerfed) stugs is beyond me. Just make sure to keep a pfaust or some teller mines handy.
