When I Play USF In Team Game
Axis Recon plane have appear I use M15 AA For counter it
But I see some time Gun only Tracking not shot some time it Shoot and down
Next I try to Use Cheatcommand Mod To Test AA system
I found Ostwind Flak 2cm Halftrack M5 Halftrack/w quad Centaur Tank can setup center Recon plane area
and wipe them
But M15 AA i set up Center area It cannot shot sometime What it this Bug
Ps and Worst Case I see Bofos Blank shot to Recon plane What it happen ?

The AA in the game works as follows:
1. The AA vehicle shoots only if its gun is pointed directly at the plane and the plane is withing range. The range is calculated in 2D.
2. Each AA weapon has small chance of shooting down a plane with every shot. The chance depends only on the type of weapon used. Range doesn't matter.
The problem in general is that if the angular velocity of a plane in reference to AA weapon is faster than the maximal rotation rate of said vehicle, then it will try to track a plane but will not shoot, becouse it will always be a bit behind. This is the case when your vehicle is dead in the center of planes circular path. As you move away from that circle, the angular velocity becomes lower and you can actually shoot down plane pretty reliably. Becouse of that, and the lack of difference in accurancy as the range becomes larger, it's always best to target planes at max range.

With the USF AAHT i usually attack move behind my lines when planes are incoming.
Standing still they barely do anything vs planes. But on attack move they get the planes most of the time.
