Since last patch, I try to improve my Soviet play.
I tried maxim but they are horrible at suppressing anything and you get quickly overwhelmed
I tried early Sniper, fun to play but same problem, you get quickly overwhelmed and I don't really feel that I'm bleeding my opponent.
So I came back to Cons spam, 5 Cons early game. 2xCons / Molotov / 3xCons and I have good success with. Around mid game, when I build my T3, I merge two Cons squads into one. I use my cons squads in duo so I can flank and molotov. If I need a HMG, I have LendLease on my commander roster, If I don't I usually pick Warface doctrine so i get access to PPSH/Repair and T34-85.
1v1 non penal builds?

but that doesn't mean that Oorahing PPSH Cons straight into battle is always the best decision.
It won WW2.
