Silenced FX sound for MP-40

Hi mod community:

With actual tools we can not add new models, but I like to know if: Is possible to add silenced fx sound to another smg in game like MP-40 ?

I did some simple changing some values in weapon extension of MP-40 and adding the sten silenced values:

a. fx_action_target_name: smg_sten_target
b. fx_tracer_name: fx_sten_tracer_silencer

Sadly not work. I am out of ideas, if someone here could help me I will be grateful.

Aye, the sound of the weapon is related to the model itself. I forgot which file controls all that stuff (I think its the rgo but im not sure). A possible work-around that might result in a bit of lag if there are alot of these weapons shooting at once would be playing the sound action each time the weapon fires.

Edit: I think the sound actions are also related to the weapon visibility, so I'm not sure if that's possible either.
