On a 2vs2 with another player supporting you, and using a new feature (RE smokenade) to see if it works. It works too well doesn't mean that RE without smoke are good.

RE are carrying flamethrowers since more than a year with the Riflemen Doctrine. Have you ever see a spam RE+flamethrower taking place since then? no. Do you think nobody thought about it and try it? Of course people tried it, and of course it doesn't work well so nobody does it.

And the fact remains that RE are not the "overexpensive trash" you described.

What if I told you that bar on echelons has better dps than on rifles.

Echelons vet faster and feed less

Echelons have smoke and flamer to counter garrison.

Echelons have 5 men in squad

Echelons have supression fire ability to supression anyone

Echelons have captain on me to counter supression tools

Echelons cost 200 MP (far more spamable and replaceable than riflemen) and repair tanks, construct cover and mines

They are tool for every occasion

Do I need to continue ?

So why nobody spam Echelons today? Why when VonIvan did it vs Noggano (I guess it was vs Noggano I don't remember exactly) during the final Faction showdown USF vs Ostheer didn't he completely dominate him? Even the first match with the surprise effect he won thanks to victory points, 20 points more and it would have been over for him.
Oh yes, because you've been butthurt and thus, unable to admit it you can only accuse RE to be too strong.

Hey you know what, too bad you're not anymore a strategist specialist but anyway why don't you show us a couple of replays where you dominate your opponent with RE spam.

But before that, allow me to remember you what was my proposal: exchange smokenade with Flamethrower. I don't care if FT takes two slots or not, I want something balanced so if it need to take two slots, it is fine. I don't care if we decide to disable BARs ont RE to make sure we can't make an army of RE, it is fine as well. I repeat myself, I'm not looking for an OP solution, but a solution for USF to clean building like any other faction do.
Or look, I'm not stubborn, give RE flamnade if you want.

Thank you for cold reception ;)

Well, the reason is that currently:

a) echelons do not have smoke to dominate Mgs
b) volley fire is sh*t, echelons drop like flies when they use it, after patch you can volley fire any squad you want with your blob and just wipe the floor with it. Echelons with bars suppress like crazy ;)

You ignore replays when I provide them to you, yet you want more ?

I feel like people are avoiding the fact that REs are expensive as fuck to reinforce.

Just 3 less MP than Riflemen, but people think USF float Manpower or something, maybe the Officer change will make USF bleed a little less.

The USF need its 57mm AT Gun buffed to the level of British one. Surely its not historical accuracy but at least USF have chance in late game again armor spam.

The have the same price as Pioneers and 10 Manpower cheaper the RO.E, so I dont really see how the are "over-expensive".

1v1 the two squads for a cost/perf comparison son. that's the point he was making.

It has already the highest dps out of all atg.

Yeah cause being able to spam cheap tank destroyers is somehow worse than having 1 for 140 fuel that fires once every 8 seconds.

An expensive tank destroyer that has excellent range as opposed to one that you have to basically bum rush with, which is especially suicidal with its low health in team games where there's always more stuff sitting around to shoot your units.

If it pens, or you may 30 munitions each engagement, it's okay due to it's low cost.

Moving smoke to RE seems unwise as if you want more then one smoke grenade you have to purchase LT, get more then one RE, or get a mortar. It restricts how many points USF can attack with smoke covering the advance with Riflemen losing smoke. Not to mention giving a potential flamer unit access to smoke? I don't get the reasoning behind the decision for it. Otherwise USF seems to fine with Jackson rather powerful with 640 hp. Might need a reduction in hp.

"To the level of British one" does not mean that it should only change to base stats.

Whenever I use Panther or Tiger and hit by USF ATGun I was like meh, while UKF 6pounder immediate force me to retreat.

As long as you vet it to level 1, have ammo, pay the micro to use its ability...

After the ammo nerf on vet 1 ability, it's never worth unless you play 1v1, when there is no team mate.

The only real way to play USF is to get the mortar HT unironically to clear buildings. The nades are expensive and ez to doge, You lack light vehicle to to quick flank MG positions, Smoke from nades takes long to deploy and have a semi short range, Normal Mortar is "random" and hard to judge.

Ending the rant there but USF needs something, either that be a jeep type vehicle, a nade cost reduction, or maybe even flamethrowers/ Normal mines might fix a lot of the pitfalls. As it stands playing USF is simply just a meat grinder.

I tested Priest and he was very good actually with DBP. Creeping barrage is actually usefull and the AoE is way better now.

Removing smoke from rifles and giving Re's smoke and flamers (not on same unit ) would make usf really solid and not frustrating to with or against.

Personally i would like to see flamers behind tech and the morter moved to lt tier so as to remove the monotony of seeing it built as 3rd unit every freakin game.
