As tittle says, I've seen that kind of mod on this forum with tip how to set custom video even with example to download but now I can't find it. Does anybody knows?

You would have to change the video files in the "movies" folder, found in the main-game directory/CoH2. Doing this might result in the game not loading, or not being able to play multiplayer, or other things, as changing the game files directly is usually a big no-no.

When there is no problems with removing them, why then replacing would be problematic?

The probability that they are not going to work is not that high, but it exists. You have to check it to know. Just try to make them as similar to old files as possible: same name and format is a must, it is also worth trying with same length.

If you manage to make it work, make sure you have a copy of them somewhere else in the filesystem. These files may get replaced with original ones with any patch or if you run cache validation via steam.

Well, I know it's possible and I'm sure there was a thread about this kind of problem on this forum. I've tried convert a mp4 file into weebm with change of resolution but it didn't work out. I mean game runned same as always but efect was the same as removing these files
