I've been playing OKW a lot lately and it's the only faction I know, but people keep saying that I need to check out the other factions to be more well rounded, so I've decided to try to learn Brits next, particularly for 1v1. At the moment, I'm still trying to play it like it's OKW, which is clearly not the right thing to do, and I end up with lots of unspent resources from not knowing what to build next and lots of wasted manpower because I keep pretending that piats are panzerschrecks, infantry sections are volks, etc, when they're not.
Any fairly recent beginner's guides / build orders for UKF?

This is a guide that features one of strongest UKF commander and is very comprehensive so you can learn a much from it
https://www.coh2.org/guides/62518/british-bastards-a-mobile-assault-regiment-guide
This is more of a specialised guide, only teaching you how to use the mortar pit and how to build your army around it. I recommend you to read it as a second guide, as the British Bastards give you far better insight on UKF faction as a whole
https://www.coh2.org/guides/59499/hector-s-guide-to-topnotch-play-with-british-mortar-pits
The Unit and Commander Guides are good but they rather explain UKF units and commander than teaching you any solid build/capping orders and general game plan as with UKF. If I were you, I would read them at last.
If you have any more questions either about first 2 guides or British forces in general, add me on steam (this is my steam profile: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198151097952)
I've created both British Bastards and Mortar Pit Guide, so I shold be able to explain you anything more in depth.
