I actually liked AOE 3 but I didn't make the mistake of comparing it to AOE 2.
I treated 3 as an entirely different beast which allowed me to appreciate both titles in different ways. I would quite happily buy the DE on Steam; I wonder if It'll transfer my AOE3 online progress or not. :-S
As for 4. Yeah; if that ends up only in the windows store I'll be giving it a miss.

If AOE4 is released on Microsoft Store only, I will never buy it. Simple as that. MS has a long history of trying to dip their toes into an established sector and failing. And after they fail they just abandon it screwing their customers royally. I would fear some system of not being able to play it unless MS store servers are running which they wont be when MS pulls the plug.

Bump with new news.
A couple new clips revealed, but expect an info dump on April 10th.
I would guess a 2021 release date, based on them having released AoE DE, then AoE2 DE, then AoE3 DE. Makes sense that this year will be AoE4.

It wouldn't surprise me if it comes to the Xbox, Microsoft has been pushing for platform integration and better keyboard and mouse support for their console. That said, they release literally all of their "gaming" news on their Xbox accounts including pc related news. I wouldn't read too much into it.

An RTS (Or, really, any previously PC exclusive game/franchise) getting a console release is admittedly a little concerning. Perhaps it won't affect AoEIV negatively, given the improved KMB support for the new Xbox, but i'm still a little worried it's going to cause the game to be simplified.

They've hidden the gameplay vids so much/long.

Fall 2021 release date.
Graphics looked better, but half the animations looked unfinished and terrible. The other half looked great and their other games had good animations, so maybe they will be polished up for launch.

I'm sad to say but this looks like complete mobile trash and dumpster fire.
It makes me very sad, I'm now reading reaction and nearly everywhere it's overwhelmingly negative. I hope relic delay game for a year at least otherwise will they get another disaster and black spot on reputation.

Ok, what the fuck. I like the graphics but what is this unit scaling? The troops are like 3x the size of the doors and are taller than houses.
