Changing buildings unit icons

Hey folks,

- I use the attributes editor form coh 2 tools -


I changed the spawn units on the casual buildings. Everythings works fine when i hover with my mouse over the building the new spawn units where shown but on the british buildings the icons not changing expect the forwarding hq - how can i fix it?

Which unit did you add to which building? I can think of two possible problems:

1. The unit you added has requirements that are not fulfilled. These could be found either in the entity or the squad, or possibly in both. Units that are normally called in by abilities usually have requirements for certain upgrades and CP values.

2. You chose the wrong building entity. For the Brits, these buildings would be correct:

ebps\races\british\buildings\base_building\british_hq\british_hq_truck_mp
ebps\races\british\buildings\base_building\british_building_1_mp
ebps\races\british\buildings\base_building\british_building_2_mp

I choose the right buildings.

ebps\races\british\buildings\base_building\british_building_2_mp

For example i added here

attrib\sbps\races\british\soldiers\tommy_squad\tommy_squad_recon_mp

with no requirement. Oh i see the attribute squad_requirement_ext was missing. I give it a try

In the building entity's spawner_ext, did you set a ui_position for the recon squad? It should be a number not used by any other squad in that building.

Also, did you modify anything else for either the building or the unit, including entities and squads?

Yes i set the ui position.

I haven't change anything else so it's confusing me. I deleted one squad and it's still on the building preview.

Other buildings are working fine. The brits are making trouble ^^

adamírcz: Might be onto somethin here, combine side armour existing, maps where flanking is a viable option, and hopefully also heavies actually being less manouverable than mediums (lookin at you coh2), and it might be fun gameplay
