What are your top 3 favorite units, and their best unit responses?
For example:

1. Halftrack 251 Mortar:
"Drop fire on those peasants!"

2. Pzkvgn VI - Tiger I
"They must have small brains or big balls or both; Panzer under infantry attack"

3. Stug 3
"We gave them a chance to surrender!
Didnt we?"

And yours?

Well from memory I have no favourite. There is nothing like the all-time best of cog1: "Klaus, cant you drive any faster!" )


I can say however what me annoys: The German translation of the UK lines. So chikdish, not even close to funny.

When I played okw for the first time ever in wfa beta, I really liked the first line I ever heard of that faction; It was sturmpios saying "This is what we trained for" - may be a little cheesy, but in that moment it really conveyed the whole idea of disciplined, aggressive determination behind the unit and the faction as a whole.

The King Tiger when you use its spearhead ability,
"Set battery switches to full! Adjust field of view to 90 degrees!"
"Focus on the 90 degree arc! Divert power to traverse control!"

OKW Heavy tanks taking fire from the enemy,
"Ha ha ha! They're scratching our paint!"

The Wehrmacht tanks when you use their blitzkrieg ability,
"Blitzkrieg the bastards!"

Some of the idle chatter when there is a lull in combat, especially from the Wehrmacht units.

"I don't cheat, you just can't play cards!"
"Cold blooded? Nothing cold blooded about me! I get quite worked up!"
"Ever looked at a Maxim? Stone age! STONE AGE!"

Obersoldaten about the Italians,
"Did you hear what happened when the Italians joined the war? They were going to send 5 divisions to deal with them! Then someone pointed out they're on our side! So instead they sent 20 divisions!"

And these are just some of my favourites I've heard over the 1300 hours I've played. The unit dialogue is probably the main reason why I keep playing this game, along with the music despite what has been done to this game over the course of its life.

Hopefully if Relic does another Company of Heroes game set in WWII, they make the units as colourful and vibrant as they are in CoH 2. I've played the first one, and I found the dialogue to and personality of the units to fall flat, especially the German ones, but that is just my opinion. I think CoH 2 really improved over what CoH 1 did in that regard.

I actually really liked all the dialogue from the first coh.

Panzergrenadiers whining about the rain.

In coh2

"I heard they sent Hans to France, I won't miss his coffee that's for sure"

"Always whining about pioneer spam"

"I don't cheat, you just can't play cards"

“I am missing a biscuit! Stealing is not the Soviet way, comrades!”

“Why are you angry? I told you, I did not steal your biscuit.”

“It was a cold night, with 6 Germans in a trench. Romantic I know. Except they were all frozen dead.”

Pak40 when an IS2 is approaching and you order to shoot at it: "Ja! Good idea!"

Pak 40: "Stalin can suck my dick!! Feuer!

Pgrens with shrecks and a T70 appears: "Ah look at that cute little puppy! Kill it!"

“We had this girl back in Aachen who could do it standing on her head. And Singing!"

And the best combination of all:

"Before the war? I helped run a Bordello."

"Yes really, a whorehouse. The mayor was one of our best customers too, until we called in his credit."

"It's gone...the English bombed it last month...Peter do you have any of that brandy left?"

Coh1: (German) Rain... Open top tank... Fucking great engineering.

Coh2 Panzergrens/Urban A Flamenwufter is a good weapon, but I still prefer a rifle or a Knnnniffffeee.

Coh2 Theater of War: *German unit finds an un-crewed M3 scout car and takes it* Soviet officer: Hey that's my car.

Voice acting has always been pretty decent in this series.

The COH1 lines are almost all better than the COH2 lines for similar units.

You hear this all the time playing USF and often is said on very desperate moments.
