Having an issue with the game
Units will regularly not respond or will deselect when clicked causing the wrong units to be selected or not being able to micro at all.
its as if shift is being held down at all times even when it isnt, buildings will not be able to be clicked on and units will have delayed responses if they even have them.
has anyone else had this problem? ive stopped playing ranked all together as it just frustrates me.
any help is appreciated !

If "it's as if shift is being held down" is somehow true you would get all of these symptoms:
Units won't respond immediately because you are effectively 'shift-queuing' commands so they will complete an old one and THEN respond.
When clicking on buildings you cant select them because you are actually ordering a unit to get inside them.
I think you need to see if something is replicating shift being permanently on - broken keyboard (do you get capitals when typing?) mouse button assigned to shift?
Sometime when I have glitches using shift (like after alt-tabbing) I finding alt-entering twice often helps
