Updating BIOS question

I have a ASUS Z170-P. My current BIOS Version is 1804 I'm wondering if I can just jump to their latest version, which is 3301 stating that it also improves over all stability, without downloading the other versions in between. I'm also wondering if updating a BIOS is as simple as just downloading the drivers and installing them since I've never updated a BIOS before. I'm looking to do this in order to acquire support for newer CPUs such as the i7 7700K.

if it doesnt state otherwise, it is that easy
do you want to buy an i7 7700k in the next time? because if not, wait, as long as stuff isn't broken

Updating your BIOS is easy as long as you do your research and double check your files before you update it, because if you do it wrong you screw your motherboard up so badly you won't be able to recover it without paying for a service.

Right now Everything works great. I don't plan on buying one for a while, but just wanted to ask a question. Seems like most say to update BIOS manually through a USB. Sometimes I just feel like having older versions I miss out on features. Especially since there's been 3 BIOS updates beyond my current version (1804)

BIOS's are never usually sequential. You can jump straight to the latest one just fine.
