We are going to bring you yet the second "CoH will never die Tournament". This time in february 2017, willing to improve our work onward and steady.

Thoughts about the future

Hey guys,

im going to talk about future plans we have and what i think is nessesary to reach the goals we´re aiming for. First off we want to build a team, that will work constantly together. This will help to work more efficient and quiker, also shows how serious we take the work. Second off we think a bigger prize-pool would really help to generate more interest of old and new players.

Since we asked many old players to sign up for the tournament, we realise there is something we can´t deny to accept. Some guys are gone and that probably forever. These guys are just to busy or enjoy other games more than CoH these days. So there is not only this way to get and create competition for you. I believe we as a community can still make new names big. There are some fresh names, who are already on a high-skill level but could become even better and a new legend, if you as players and as the community give them the chance for it.

- 2-4 tournaments in a year
- with every tournament, we bring you a smaller newcomer-tournament
- bigger prize-pool, with prizes for semi-finals and quarter-finals too

There is a consensus, when people are talking about what makes a player big. The rank isnt it anymore. So when the tournaments give young, talented players a chance to grow and win, the competition will grow and increase.

But i am going to switch over, cause i want to talk about bigger prize-pool and how bigger prize-pools could catch more guys and reward more people. Imagine a prize-pool big as 400 $, which isnt unrealistic, cause we currently got already 180 $ and there is still a month to go.

400 $ prize-pool:

Winner - 110 $
Second - 80 $
Third - 70 $
Fourth - 55 $
Fifth - 45 $
Sixth - 40 $


Don´t forget, that not everyone of us is living in prosperity. For some guys 110 $ or even 55 $ are more then it seems to you.

Hey guys,

it´s still a long time till the tournament finally start, so we use the time to improve our website and make sure, that good players sign up and make the competition even better. We also try to find more caster especially for certain games of the early rounds. If we find enough, we will bring a shedule on the website. We still would appreciate donations verry much. Every penny will go to the winners and into the prize-pool.

Since we got already 45 signed up people for the tournament, we currently talk about the amount of players we will start with. We are thinking about the rules in general, cause we want the tournament so enjoyable as even possible.

Update:

We received a 180$ donation today. We want to say thank you, JoeTheMofo, whoever you are, please don´t lose your job, we want to stay happy and healthy. It´s hard to describe how hyped we and the community already are. We really want the tournament to become a success. We still have much to learn, but we take every help and critic.

Another Update:

I don´t want to spam posts, so i make another update right now. Today we talked about a problem, that will come up before the first tournament matches. We want to make sure, that the players will communicate with each others and arrange the matches on their own. When the last tournament happend, we had some people who didnt responed. This time we try to avoid that. We will probably give out a date to join our steam-group, with a deadline of course. Players that don´t response befoure the deadline wll not be a part of the tournament anymore. We announce more about that soon, cause we are still talking about that. Something like that could happen:

- 20.2 Registration Deadline
- 23.2 Matchmaking/Brackets
- 26.2 Deadline to join the Steam-Group
- 26.2 Matchmaking/Brackets
- 27.2 Tournament-Start

We probably will open threads in the steam-group for every single match. The players have to write into the thread for their matches and arrange it with the opponent. You can talk over the group or in privat chat. Important is, that you get in contact with each other. We, i dont want to sound rude here, wont be babysitters and we will react rigorous.

RULES AND DATES UPDATE


Hey guys,

we confirm the following dates:

- Brackets will me made on 20.2.2017
- Deadline to join the steam-group will be 20.2 - 25.2.2017
- Tournament starts on 27.2.2017

The Brackets-Making will be live-streamed by kaos on his twitch-channel.

Brackets will be random with seeding.
If someone didn't enter the group Kaos will add players that didn't make it to the tourney in their space. That will happen after the Steam-Group Deadline.

We will kick-out every person out of the steam group, that wont play in the tournament.
Thats not because we don´t like certain persons, its because we use the group for communication and organizing.

Hello Ladys and Gentlemen,

yesterday our prize-pool reached 500$. We originally aimed for 400$. So thats a huge success and we want to thank every single Donator so far. Don´t forget that you can still donate and make the prize-pool even bigger. But since the pool is already huge, i started this poll cause i want to know, if we should stretch the the amount of guys, that will be able to win some money. Your opinion is important for us. Even if we have the last word in that case. 11 People want at least 4 money-places, 5 guys dont.
We also think about the prizes in general.

Hey guys,

many of you already knows, that we startet a poll about the amount of money-places in our tournament. And it looks like the most of us wants to keep it a "3". So probably won´t change that, even if i (ulf) would have like it, that more players, especially new faces, could earn some money and motivation to improve even more. But that tournament is for the community, not for certain persons. I will probably try to make our team bring an "most improved player" award. That guy should get at least a bit of the money.

I want you to give an update about well known players, that we tried to catch and made them sign up for the tournament. Unfortunately the following guys won´t play, so please don´t ask them anymore, cause they got their reasons and we want to accept that.

In spite of that, we say thank you to BartonPL, Symbiosis, KoreanArmy for responding. We wish you good luck in whatever you want to do next. Maccaroni, Sandland, Inverse and Complexity are still unsure. Inverse will most likely not play, since he is verry busy. Complexity still hopes to make it possible. And Maccaroni is busy as well, but we still try to hold the door open for him.

The prize-pool is still growing, we currently got 525 or 550, we have to check that out, thank you for that. You guys take the tournament really serious as we do it. Stay tuned and ask us, if you got any questions.

Hello,

we like to tell you guys, that we still get huge names in. The last one is no one other than Guderian. He signed up for the tournament and as a caster as well.

We currently figure out, how we can make sure, that the most of the interesting matches will be casted. Thats what we discuss in the team with the casters. After the bracketmaking we will put a shedule on our website, on which you can see which caster will cast which round. Of course no one can cast the whole early rounds, so please don´t expect that. Sultan, who created the "legend never dies" tournaments with Pepsi, will probably join us as a caster. He is smart, experienced and well known in the coh-community.

We also work on improvements for the website. Ishootmeidc is doing an awesome job here, and we are proud to tell you, that you can read a couple of small interviews with some players. We will add another ones steady.

There is also another nice surprise on the way onto our website, which you will love for sure.

Since there are already over 60 people registered for the tournament, there are just a few of them in the steam-group. The group will be used for match-making. Its necesarry that you join the group as a player. Please don´t forget that.

After the brackets were made, you can´t sign up anymore. So make sure you join the tournament befour. That goes out to some guys who played recently, showed interest, but didnt signed up yet, like tommy, aimstrong etc.
