The 'King of the Hill' event by Stormless

The King of The Hill / Updated 20th February 2017

The King of the Hill is a 'winner stays on' competition which offers a chance to win money whilst promoting high level play. Prize money is increased for the longer someone is able to keep their throne, winning consecutive games in a row. In order to be the King, you must defeat the current King and contesters are chosen before each game in the Twitch chat by raffle.

The King must win consecutive games using each of the 5 factions. Once you have picked a faction you will not be able to play them again. The contester will pick the map that they wish to play from the map pool.

Rules

Game Mode - 1v1, 500 VP's. All games played in the latest Winter Balance Preview (WBP) patch
Best of - All games are single elimination
Starting Positions - Allies start in position 1 or 2, Axis start in position 3 or 4.
Bulletins - All bulletins are allowed

Commanders - There are restrictions to British Commanders (See below section)
Factions - All factions are allowed
Matchups - No mirror matches allowed. All games are Allies vs Axis
Observer Settings - Please set observer delay to 3 minutes

Time Table

The tournament is scheduled for most Sunday's at 15:00 GMT. This may change occasionally. But please check the weekly schedule posted on my channel for more information (www.twitch.tv/stomless)

Sign Up

In order to play in this event. Simply be on www.twitch.tv/stormless during the tournament and enter the contester raffle which starts after every game.

Prizes

The prizes for this tournament are as follows.

1st Game Win - Become King of the Hill
2nd Win - £10.00 Prize Pool
Any following win - £5.00 added to Prize Pool
Win using a non-meta Strategy/Commander (Properly) - £10.00

When the King has won 6 games in a row he will receive a final £10.00 and will have to step down from the throne. At this point, a new series begins and two new challengers will compete for the empty throne.

Prizes will be paid out monthly. It is advised that you keep track of what you have won in case of any discrepancies. Please provide a PayPal account for payments. This is easy to set up if you do not have one already.

Casting

Casting will take place on www.twitch.tv/Stormless

VoD's will be listed on www.youtube.com/AECoH

The casters for the event will Matt (Account_Eliminator) & Danny (Stormless)

Process for playing

If you are selected to play you must do the following.

Open CoH2, click the 'Chat' button in the bottom left of the screen. Open the chat lobby called 'CoH2 Looking for Group'. You will be invited to a pre-setup game with your opponent.

The current patch is WBP v1.6 which was released this week. If you are subscribed to the WBP it should update for you automatically. But we will always play in the latest form of it.

Would it be possible, that one of you guys makes Sunday night or Monday morning a short update, who the last King of the Hill was? Because there are people out, who can't watch every Sunday the cup.
Thats takes only few mins. I make an example:

Paula was not banned from the event no.

Unfortunately he has been banned and he told me he can't even enter 'Custom Games' at the moment which means he couldn't play yesterday

Paula is just being a bit of drama queen who wants to get some attention. So far, every time players were banned, their stats on their player card vanished as well. Paula still got his.

Stats are only vanished, if they got perma banned from Relic.

There are Timebans as well. So stats are still alive.,

But don't make this thread to a paula or ban thread pls!
