Hey all,

Does anyone use this often? Its cheaper than what I'd expect and it seems pretty powerful. I've been testing this out against SU85's but I'm struggling on good placement and keeping it alive. If anyone has any good replays with this, post!!

I do use it often to kill some SU85. Saw one of the devs use it, and he always was building it behind a house or some trees. He said PAK43 can shoot thru buildings and about everything else. But don't forget it need some support as infantry can de-crew it easy. Med bunkers can help if the soviet arty/mortar it often.

Permanently Banned
once in shevuNoLuckyStrike-s stream he had a good comeback with pak43 (joint operation doctrine).
opponents had 4x bigger army, snipers, guards or st i dont know ,conscripts, su 85-s and isu arty, and 80 % of the map.
shevu had maybe 2 gren, mg and mortal.

was pretty good game, since i put that commander in my 1v1 loadout.

pak43 might be a game changer if build in correct place, it has biggest range in game, same as Elefant and ISU-152 and it's damage takes medium tanks on 3 shots, and heavy with 3-4 if penetrated

What do you guys mean it can shoot through buildings??? Can it shoot through a building and hit a long range target? Also, I'm guessing placement at the middle VP's would offer the best map control?

Biggest problem with it imo, is it gets destroyed very easily by on/off-map artillery. I often wish I'd got an Elefant instead :/

I use it alot. Infact I think its OP. Its extremely difficult for the Russian player to eliminate if the German players defends it well.

Against incendiary artillery you just need a nearby command post bunker or a halftrack. Not much you can do against bombing run, but it is only 120 MP more than a Pak 40!

Just like other static structures it's really easy to counter. Not sure if putting resources in defending it is worth it.

I think it's a good option if you don't have enough fuel for tanks. But like Qvazar said, I wouldn't build it if the enemy has arty.

Had a brilliant Minsk Pocket game (rare enough, though I've had a couple of good ones recently) using the PAK-43, German howitzer and Ostwind. If you can stick one in the centre near the VP and keep it supported/defended, it's far and away the best way to stop SU-85s dominating the centre of that map.
