So i played a match as germans with the 10% increased suppression for the mg and it is simply too good. With no cover every russian squads gets pinned in 1 second and stays suppressed for a long time after the mg stops firing

Replay too see how ridiculous it is. Watch th conscripts int eh south just refusing to stand up

Watched it. Pinning in one burst (unless at max range and/or in heavy cover) really is stupid. This shows why bulletins are a bad idea.
Now, I need to "test" it.

A side note: Did they also take down CoH1stats? I wanted to look up their good FAQ section about what it said about suppression regen but I only get a 404...

I think (hope) this is one of the bulletins that Relic is aware of being broken in its current implementation.

It is more noticeable on the MG42, as you say, it goes from 1 burst suppress into insta-pin, coupled with the boost they received to durability... it just makes maps like Minsk and Pripyat more claustrophobic than necessary

Is the bulletin really the problem? I think MG42s pin squads WAY too quickly in general.

Let's be honest here, will the extra second of being of not being pinned and just being suppressed game breaking?

Yes, because with this it pins in one long burst whereas two bursts are needed without the bulletin. This allows it to switch targets much more often, giving it a lot more time to reposition and also prevents molotovs.

Yes, if you watch the first engagement the mg suppresses the greencover maxrange engineers in one burst. It also pins the 2 flanking conscript in 1 sec making the flank worthless
But I would like to focus more on the stuff that happens after the mg stops shooting. I might have put the attention on the bulletin but squads stay suppressed for so long. Both engineers and cons just stay on the ground

That's the trade off for less members and less damage.

You can't use abilities while pinned, you can while suppressed.

That is why I asked about coh1stats earlier in this thread. I wanted to look up how suppression regeneration works and if those pioneers shooting the squad may have kept up the suppression. I think this one squad also might simply have bugged out because other squads in that match seem to recover just fine without crawling to the edge of the map.

better bulletins than instapin? Like what, 3 percent extra hp?
Instapin wins you every engagement early game except for maxim. If you react fast enough to a con flank he wont even have enough time to throw one molotob

It seems the vast majority of even the forum-users have the creativity of a gnat. How have you not tried this bulletin before? o.0

Yeah I've had this thing in all my Ostheer layouts since I unlokced it. Just further decreases the effectiveness of any Russian infantry based flank. It's stupid, but yeah I use it.

Maxim will still defeat it, as the gunner is unpinnable.

Is there a DPS increase or setuptime bulletin for Maxim? Not at home atm.

I wouldn't pick this to counters Maxim's it is the fact that the pinning speed is so fast that a gren/MG42 well microed can hold out against 3 conscripts literally. Molotovs make it harder but you can still wiggle your way out.

i actually think, that either the bulletin is broken and gives you more than 10% or the impression of its hugh impact is wrong. mg42s have a very high rof, so the 10% increase should only give you an actual 10% increase! will test it myself.
