So here is my question. How is it that a German tank crew wills the tank to go faster with the engine damaged? This ability on panthers especially makes them unstoppable despite hitting multiple mines and taking at grenades.

So why soviet tanks can`t use their abilities with damaged engine exactly?

That was my issue as a T-34 cant do anything with a damaged engine the entire function of the tank is gone and unlike the P4 Soviets have to take a tactical risk to get in range for ram and it is soul crushing to have 1 gren throw a faust and turn off my ability.

Additionally I think it might just be panthers but I have noticed they seem to go faster than normal speed with blitz even with damaged engine. I know this might cause some rage but perhaps both blitz and ram should be usable but following its use the tanks should degrade to the next tier of broken engine. Damage to crippled and crippled to unmovable.

From what I have seen that would give the Germans a good amount of thinking to do if at the end of blitz their tank would be moving crippling slow. Perhaps less base rush and used more defensively to reposition for repairs.

And for the Soviets it would mean a ram would pin that tank in place 100% if you rammed with a damaged engine making it extremely high risk to do.

i do like that idea of escatlating engine crits! not sure how much it would effect balance though, ooorah into AT into ram would cause snail speed and imobalise 100% of the time making that tank a free kill.

Well, Blitzkrieg also increases accuracy and reload speed. There is not really a reason why those would be hampered by an overheated engine.

Just the movement speed buff not being applied when the engine is busted would be fair I think.

In my experience, engine dmg more or less completely negates Blitzkrieg speed.

I presume this is because the Blitzkrieg applies a % modifer to the armors speed, which at engine damaged speeds, is a % of the reduced speed, meaning it results in so small a speed increase that its barely perceptible.

The m3 can go into overdrive with a damaged engine too, and it's a lot quicker

Possibly Overdrive raises the speed to a concrete figure, rather than the % increase Bliztkrieg seems to have.

I cant confirm the actual mechanics of these, but this is my deduction from observation.

I highly doubt that Relic would do different formula for different units that have almost identical abilities.
It`s a waste of time if you ask me to create a new formula when you have something similar

You must be new to Relic.

Its more likely than not.

Nor are the abilities "almost identical", as you claim.

Blitzkrieg = bonus move speed, accuracy and fire rate.
Override= bonus move speed.
Yeah they are almost identical

They are not coded the same way, nor apply their effect with the same mechanics.

Kindly go away, you are only embarrassing yourself.

Because I guess you know better since you coded half of the game

Implying you did yourself.

My conclusions are based on observation.

I stated my opinion, there was no implementation that I know how they code their game.
But on you on the other hand can somehow magically conclude the code their use on just pure observation.

Because I have seen Engine dmged Blitzkrieging PIV move at the same perceptible speed as it does when Engine dmged.

Because I have seen Engined dmged M3s hit Overdrive and move at top speed.

And you? You got nothing.
