I've worked out effectively everything I need to know from Substance Painter (and Photoshop), including importing existing textures, and using a mask to keep those 'scratched' areas of paint clear for the metallic lighting and bump mapping to show through.
I'm looking forward to doing a much more improved tutorial video to help out any other budding COH2 artists. Substance Painter 2 seriously makes it so fun and easy once you're up and running. Honestly, I'm now finding that the actual painting stuff is the easiest part of the whole process now
