after last patch 17/5/2016 RelicCoH2.exe not working

the game is not working after updating the latest patch it was alright until i update it yesterday the error company of heroes 2 has stopped working appear and i already check game integrity

my system
windows 7 64
amd r9 380 latest driver
amd fx8320

Is it possibly a windows 7 issue? I've seen a few complainants and this is a common denominator.

But the easiest way is reinstaling game. Helps in 90% cases

if i remove the game then install it again do you think this may solve the problem

I have same problem, reliccoh2.exe crashes in 1-2 seconds after launching.

It doesn't create dumb files and the warning log only has writings from yesterday when it worked.

Tried reinstalling, disabling anti-virus, updated everything etc all the common fixes, nothing works.

Update: I also have AMD processor and windows 7 as does the OP, maybe that's an issue.

Relic announced a hotfix for that problem, here is the annoucment and solution:

For those having trouble - Hot Fix Impending

We are working on a hotfix.
We expect it to be deployed in a matter of hours (today at some point).

To rollback to a prior version while waiting:

Right click on company of heroes 2. Select properties, then the BETAS tab.
there should be a drop down menu. from the drop down select "beta"
close the dialog box, then log out and back into steam.
You should receive an update.

If it worked you should see something like Company of Heroes 2[beta] in your library
This will get you back to the previous version of the game.

You'll be able to play, but automatch won't match you with the rest of the playerbase and the new giveaway skins won't show up for you. Don't worry - you'll get the skins once we get the hotfix up.

Btw if it really is platform dependant problem and it was created in last patch it means that they ninja changed something in low level (engine?) code. It is possible that they are trying to optimise the game. Of course it is also possible that some other changes exposed old fault but its less probable IMO.

Or sega made an agreement with intel and now they ban all AMD users :D
