PSA You cannot retreat out of stun grenades

Tired of people accusing me of bugging their squads.


You have to retreat before you get hit, or the stunned models have to die. If all the models are hit by the stun then you can't retreat until the duration is over. (Which is longer than the duration of the icon.)

If there is a bug, It's entirely random incidence before I haven't been able to reproduce anything out of normal behaviour.

So what exactly is a thread worth, how big does the problem have to be?

This bug is gamebreaking and very much deserving its own thread.

I'm not sure triggering it is as simple as hitting all models or if it has something to do with hitting the retreat button at the same time as the nade hits.

The end effect is that the squad will be unable to move or retreat for a good 30 seconds after the stun nade hits, maybe upwards of that. It's basically a guaranteed squad wipe under the right conditions.

I would honestly encourage you to continue abusing this (SPrice style) until it gets more attention from Relic.

I thought Relic had "fixed" this with a previous patch? Or was that just preventing Stun Grenades from canceling a retreat already in progress?

Pretty sure you could previously retreat post-stun.... I mean it sorta makes sense that stunned troops can't retreat (assuming the stun duration wasn't so long). Either way, leave it to Relic to turn a rare annoyance into something worse.

It also messes with weapon teams, or at least maxims. When you kill a stunned MG and then recrew it, the weapon gets bugged and cannot attack anymore.

This issue was addressed in my thread a while ago but it seems stun grenades are still a problem.

I wouldn't expect any sort of fix since Cuddletronic and Brad got sacked so COH2 is on its death bed. Prove me wrong Relic (please.) :luvDerp:
