Well, microHYPE intensifies.
What about targeting an exact model with your own skills? I would say yes.
Just imagine, you want to win an engagement not due to the pure RNG but your skill also so you immediately have your squad firing against the model who has the ZOOK, BAR, LMG42, LMG34, or out of cover. You seek to reduce your opponents DPS first. And if you choose an exact soldier with that regard you commit a handful of time to do some shit and microing and stuff.
But in some cases you shouldn't want to focus fire on a model(low hp squads, catching retreating squads etc.) When so, just don't click on a model but instead click on their insignia(emblem?i dunno) above or maybe spray your mouse onto them to randomly fire at them.
No accuracy bonus whatsoever with that thing, just dropping a model faster.
Relic pls.

That would be nice, but weapons just go to another model. A brief moment of lower DPS with such complex mechanics. On the other hand units like jager-inf and pathfinders will become stronger

Imagine that you can order your whole blob to attack at once one model.
That would be insane.

It's not that simple. You just drop a model faster no matter the weapon he holding is, which means you achieve advantage by limiting that particular squads DPS, just say Sturmpios one model which means %25 incoming DPS gone.

Hold on, doesnt squard attack single model? Whats the point in focusing in some model like you've told and the present system?

Pretty sure they already do autotarget models eligible for execution.

In current system your squad just randomly fires upon random models causing maybe all models to be damaged or to only to be one.

ive recently fought maxin with my falls squard. The weapon was in front of falls in like 5 meters but single model of the squad was behind falls in 1 meter. First of all falls killed the guy next to them, dispite me poining the crew of maxim

i dont think it would improve gameplay. just add another slightly boring micro tax which we dont really need to make the game skillful.

Plus we already have RNG Cons killing Gren model in first 2 burts.
If you could command to attack single model that would be total bs.

Could be unfair - if you focus fire a 4 man squad, you'll be reducing their DPS in 25% increments where a 6 man squad would only take 17% hits.

Bad idea. It would make all team weapons a lot more vulnerable to death-loops and would impact units where firepower is spread equally among models a lot more than it would units where special weapons hold most of the firepower.

Rewards APM too much without really adding any strategic depth. Not very interesting fro gameplay. If you want something like this you can pay Men at War: Assault Squad.
