Captain do not respond after being stunned by grenades

Hi,

How are called the grenades available with the Ace Tiger doctrine? I don't remember. Those grenade stun squads.
So when used against the captain, the captain do not follow any orders after the end of the effect. You can hit the retreat button multiple times, he doesn't move.

I added a replay but it shouldn't be difficult to reproduce.

Yes, I don't have the commander so I don't know if they have a specific name.

Oh... it should have been fixed with the last patch (25th update).

• "Stun Grenades no longer Stop enemy Squads from Retreating"


I testet it... he is right... you can not retreat the USF "Captain" while he is stunned.
And its not only the "Captain"... seems to be the case for every other infantry too. :-(

Preventing the squad from starting to reatreat while stun is active may be intended behaviour.

I'm not talking about the stun period, but after being stunned, the debuff gone, you can't move the captain. It works with Riflemen so far, when the stun disappear you can retreat them.

Do you mean that you could not move the "Captain" for the whole remaining game?

Did you retreated the "Captain" and after that he was locked in your base?

Or did he get locked on the battlefield after he received the stun and the negative effect was gone?


Can you post the time of the bug for your replay?

He didn't get locked for long since he died in a matter of 10 seconds after the stun. But yes, after the stun effect, impossible to move the captain nor retreat him.

And I called 2 times the captain and both times he died locked after the stun effect.

I watched the replay...

(First "Captain" at about 19:30 minutes at the middle victory point.)
(Second "Captain" at about 25:00 minutes at the northern cut off point.)


After the stun effect was gone both "Captain" sqauds were locked on the battlefield.
They did not even returned fire.
If you select them while they are locked, the mouse cursor only shows the icon for facing a direction (like they would be a "Pak 43").
So that is clearly a bug.

I haven't been able to repro this. What was the Captain doing when he got Stunned?

Fighting :D

On a more serious note, nothing special, he was in combat, get stunned and that's it.

I was playing a 2v2 as the Brits yesterday, one of my IS squads got hit by a stun grenade and one of my friend's Rifle squads got hit by the same grenade. Neither of us were able to move or retreat our units afterwards. I waited a solid 10 or 15 seconds, mashing the retreat key the entire time, and nothing happened until eventually both our squads were wiped. This happened twice over the course of the match, but not every time stun grenades were used. I hope this issue is given appropriate attention and resolved soon. I'm having a hard time enjoying this game lately, even though I love it.
