Axis vehicles.

So just wondering why is the axis so restricted on vehicle choices in the current form of the game.

Ostheer commanders that give call-in vehicles are really rare and they are mostly only 2 types that are used. The only puma(mobile defense), PzIV command and all the tiger commanders.

OKW is even more 1 trick pony, mostly only command panther & jagdtiger choices. Yes, I know hetzer is there.

Allied atm have so much call-in choices in their commanders compared to axis that it's gone way beyond balance.

Assault

Hetzer (not some random flamer variant, which was already stupid in the commander choice, when u have pios with flamers. Good fix would be normal hetzer with choice to upgrade flamer)

Marder III

Jagdpanther

Light

Panzer 38(t)

Hotchkiss H35

Medium

Panzer III (This tank was still used in late war, alot of variants even 1 with 75mm short barrel PzIII N)

Artillery

Hummel

Wespe

Axis had alot of variants and alot of different vehicles. The choices now at commanders don't give at all call-in abilities like every allied is using. With the highest difference being that allies (UKF&USF) don't even need to build anything, just one click wonder upgrades that cannot be denied compared to axis buildings/trucks.

This isn't supposed to be rant of the current balance issues just what I feel is missing from axis side and would help balance the game.

This game is not about representing as much things from ww2 as possible. There is no need for a new tank hunter/spg since there´s already the light versions (StuG + JP4) and the heavier one's (Ele, JT).

The medium tank role is fullfilled by the P4.
A mobile artillery piece for OKW might not be such a bad idea though.

The axis call in vehicles have much more specific roles you must remember and perform well at them, whereas lots of Allied call ins could be considered to overlap with things they already have, such as Bulldozer Sherman, T 34/88 instead of M4C or 76, Valentine call in when AEC does it better etc.

You have to remember that allies can just ignore teching and go full scale commander call-in play. As axis you don't have that choice.

@RedT3rror artillery for OKW only? And not for ostheer, who don't have any mobile artillery (as the platform artillerys are very easily denied.) Panzerwerfer I don't count as artillery.

Axis generally have vehicles that have the best stats but less utility and "soft" stats, so Allies get commanders that can help level this out. The lack of variety is very annoying I agree, but blame the Relic manpower bleed.

To be fair, the Axis also have more commander call-ins that give them spammable troops with Ostruppen and Panzerfusiliers, and the Axis also get more OP abilities like Panzer Tactician, Tactical Movement, Infiltration Grenades, and other things.

Its just the way the game is. Allies (especially Soviets) need what's in their doctrines while Axis have much better cores and more need for supporting powers.

T34-85 and easy 8's are all tech tied now.....so yeah.

Not sure giving OKW long range artillery would be a good idea considering the trouble we had just with leigs. Might be better on ostheer as you suggest but they already have static artillery.

@OP

You also need to consider that the allies have a greater variety in vehicles because there are 3 factions each with very different play styles. Then there is the fact that many of the allied vehicles simply aren't worth using at the moment.
