How can one launch COH2 in windowed mode?
For whatever reason, the stream quality coming out of the built-in streaming software to the game looks like crap. Thus, I'm trying to stream using Xsplit. I can run other games in 720p and they look great, but I can't get CoH2 to stream because xsplit requires it to run in windowed mode. There doesn't appear to be a built in option for this, so I've tried editing the target line to this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" steam://rungameid/231430 -window -lockmouse
I've also tried variants like:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -window -lockmouse steam://rungameid/231430
What am I doing wrong? Is there any other way to do this? Anyone know if this can be done at all? Is windowed mode a feature they plan to implement in the future if not?
How to launch in windowed mode

Just add -window -lockmouse to the launch options on CoH2 in Steam Library (right click coh2->preferences->launch options)

What FatalSaint said didn't make much sense to me, but I figured it out.
Click start on your computer and then click run and put this line in:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Company of Heroes 2\RelicCoH2" -window -lockmouse
You need to link the directory that your coh2 application is in. You don't need to deal with steam IDs.
This took me longer than it should have to figure it out so I feel your pain. Hope it helps.

1. Go there "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Company of Heroes 2\RelicCoH2"
2. Create a shortcut of RelicCoH2 on your desktop
3. Right click the shortcut, "properties", "shortcut"
4. In the target you'll see "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch\RelicCOH.exe" (I don't have coh2 installed...)
just add SPACE -window -forceactive -lockmouse
==>

Or you can just do it directly in Steam as I said so you don't have to make custom shortcuts etc
1: Open Steam
2: Go to library
3: Right click Company of Heroes 2
4: Select preferences in the dropdown menu
5: In the new window that opens, click "Launch Options" or whatever the top button says (I got Swedish Steam so I have no idea how they translated it)
6: Add these commands: -lockmouse -window -nomovies
1: Open Steam
2: Go to library
3: Right click Company of Heroes 2
4: Select preferences in the dropdown menu
5: In the new window that opens, click "Launch Options" or whatever the top button says (I got Swedish Steam so I have no idea how they translated it)
6: Add these commands: -lockmouse -window -nomovies

Does not work like in modern games in "fullscreen windowed mode".
1. Screen scroll does not movedown the screen.
2. The screen down lowers the main window, information is lost.

You're missing a few commands. I use this and I can screen scroll:
-nomovies -window -fullwindow -forceactive -lockMouse
-nomovies -window -fullwindow -forceactive -lockMouse

Can confirm the following works
"-window -fullwindow -forceactive -lockMouse"
Just add it to the launch options via Steam as Fatalsaint suggested

DanielD, Puppetmaster - tnx!
On Win7 works well. On Win10 works with some glitches. Under some circumstances - just stops switching Alt+tab.
