Which translates to more damage vs opposing squad on approach, which translates to obliterating tommies in short range and being able to actually win vs approaching rifles(even I had moments like this) and being on pair to cons.

Units don't teleport to each other, cons aren't at disadvantage vs them, but its not one way fight either, unless you bump into them form around the corner.

Cons are fine IMO. They're already pretty tanky at vet 3 which makes them excellent meatshield for guards or penals (in a perfect world) and would be way too cost efficient with lower reinforce.

Cons MUST scale to the late game. It doesn't matter how much for reinforce if they cant kill the enemy.

Cons MUST scale to the late game. It doesn't matter how much for reinforce if they cant kill the enemy.

Scaling was improved already with vet buffs.
Cons, obviously, aren't supposed to be main killer in Soviet faction in late game.

And yet, people dare to whine about snipers and maxims, who clearly are supposed to be killers for the very reason that cons aren't and the QQ loop makes a whole circle.

What I'm gauging from the comments in this thread is that if conscripts scaled better and got a NonDoc weapon they would not need a cost decrease, and I absolutely agree.

Conscripts are the only mainline infantry that needs to be phased out by shocks or guards in late game. Their lack of weapon and their (still) mediocre scaling is not helping them become viable.

I am always thinking that as they vet up, they should stop being conscripts and become REAL soldiers. But if not then a price decrease is the only way.
