::EDIT2:: No, actually, I do think it needs more DPS earlier on the vet chart. Getting it up to vet 4 is very difficult, and only then are you rewarded with more DPS. The vet 3 bonus of repairing is not that good, switch it around with vet 4.

M3 or M20 hardcounters it quite well. I have to admit that the small arms penetration is very RNG dependant, sometimes a con volley brings it down to 3/4 health, sometimes it doesn't. You also have to remember that there is one less infantry squad on the OKW side early on, so you should be able to win those engagements.
I like the Kubel's new role and I think it's fine.

Sure it is, but I am not fancy on going Soviet t1 since it sucks. Only thing T1 holds vs OKW is a M3, which I won't get since I will rush a t70 to counter mighty 6 minute Luchs.
We understand that you can counter a kubel and micro everything else at the same time. I too believe you can, you are one of the best CoH2 players in my eyes. Yet we normal players can't do all of that at the same time, rush for a t70 and counter luchs. Neither do I think it is necessary to do so just to play a game..
Kubel behind a skilled OKW player is way to potent by capping half of the map while you simply are busy fighting the hordes that come after you. I have fought guys that simply got a kubel as their 4th or 5th unit and started capping with shreck support etc. I hate it.

Kubel has to be really good because the OKW are an early game faction with crappy lategame infantry and vehicles.

their late game infantry aren't bad but their vehicles are very good. the only issue they have is the fuel cost.

I'm fine with adding a token 5 Fuel charge - I think its a fair trade given how much extra resources you get with the fast capping Kubel gives you (and it can be salvaged back). In principle I wouldn't be opposed to maybe slightly lowering Rear Armor either... although Kubel pathing still sucks balls so in a way they kind of need equal front/back armor lol
