For Grens..Which is used for best scenario? G43 for short to mid and STG for mid to long? How about the LMG upgrade as well?

Grens get STGs? Since when?

G43s are meant to be used for on the move assaults, since they fire on the move. They improve short to mid a decent amount. LMGs are fairly good at all ranges but require the squad to be static.

If youve got a few gren squads and G43s in your doctrine, just mix them up for flexibility.

When to go STGs or G43 for them?

I would say get StG44s for Stormtroopers, since they get Tactical Advance that (when activated) allows them to wipe Shocks in about 3 seconds.

With G43 Stormtroopers can interrogate the enemy and you learn where their troops are. Combine with a teammates CAS abilities or mortar HT.

STGs are for mid-close range, whilst G43s are for long range, as well as better on the move DPS.

It's really up to you, but I would reccomend STGs because you get more for the cost. cloak + stun nade + tactical assault melts squads.

G43 is best used at range? I don't know if coh2 stats is up to date, but it seems the G43 is much more beastly at close range.

Er, coh2 stats is outdated, check out the site from AchtAcher's signature.
G43s has better DPS at long range than StGs, and that's about it.

This site is supposed to be up to date and it shows pretty much the same thing that I was saying. Squad G43's are basicly identicle damage to the default K98's at long range ~2.4dps:

It seems they are not worth the upgrade if your looking for max ranged damage. They are more accurate than K98's on the move (80% vs 50%) and do about twice the damage at point blank range (~12 vs 6). The lmg42 is the better ranged weapon ~7.6dps.

So if your choices are 2xG43 or lmg42, the G43's are the much more supperior close range weapon. They let you fire on the move when closing in and do triple the damage in close range.
