It is supression platform. It is not DPS dealer. Deal with it.
Mg34 need to supress while S-pios rush infantry while ostheer mg42 do good DPS because pios/grens are more like supportive unit hight close range DPS unit like S-pios.
Also pershing is doctrinal , soviet elite infantry is doctrinal , british chesse is locked behind doctrines , tigers are doctrinal and no one is crying about it.
If you need mg you go that doctrine. If not you go other doctrine that offers you something better for that much up.It is okw core design. Strong infantry and armor but lack of good supresion tool , sniper or Snare.
