Countering pak howitzer as wehrmacht?

I am having much difficulty countering this unit...once they combine it with a follow up stuart.Basically it negates my defensive structure based around mg42s,stuart forces a pak and restricts room for manuevre and my basic infantry can't compete with the rifles so i can't attack either.
Mortars not being able to counter it.
Any ideas?

Maybe stormtrooper call-in behind it to wipe it? With Elite Troops getting them, they open up that option in a decent commander(I know TA was nerfed, but G43s and stun grenades are nice).

Can you use smoke from a mortar to cover an approach by a light vehicle or infantry? You could get them close enough to scare away/wipe the pack howie then run them away fast as you can?

Get a Lefh 18 Howitzer to Counter a Pak howi, since it has a Counter barrage on its VET 1 Ability

If someone is going for a Stuart, try not to spend munitions on anything that isn't lmgs. Getting 2 lmgs should give your grens the ability to hold off rifles and the impact of a pak howitzer on mg42s shouldn't be so effective on your defense as a whole.

Try and fight around a key structure, which will mitigate the pak howitzers ability to suppress and actually still reduces it's damage.

You should also switch the position (even if it's just slightly) every single time your opponent see's your mg42. This can prevent future flanks and will help to mitigate the impact of a pak howitzer. If your micro is really good, you might not even want to set up your mg until you see your opponent, so that you're always in the right position.

You might also want to try and play with a siper.

Move up mortar then move back. Thats your counter or you can just harass the pack howi with a mortar Kappa
