Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

I honestly feel that Ostheer is designed with the focus of your opponent making mistakes.

I don't recall soviet have any non-doc durable tank, or even a LMG upgrade for basic troops
First off all. Tripwire so gud, 10 ammo for a whole dead squad ? + sight.
Vehicle capture point can win games, blitzkrieg save a tank. Fair Deal i think

Ostheer has never really been about elite infantry.
They have elite support weapons and vehicles though.

Dp28 upgrade for conscripts that acts like Bar upgrade from coh1 sounds great to me.

Cost reasons. 340 mp vs 400 mp 90 munitions. As much as I'd like to believe SS panzergrens with stg44s could compete with rangers. Due to cost they need to be worse.

I'd pay 450-500mp and 90 muni for an elite unit for OST.
Simply for the ease of use that comes with having a unit that doesn't need cover.
Or at least give the zielgerät 1229 the cover negation back.

I feel like theres no room for error when you're playing as ostheer. You basically have to keep your grens alive till they hit vet3 otherwise the rifles or iss will just steam roll all your support troops.

Problem in most cases is that allied infantry in general for all factions can just blob run up with no cover and rape everything.
Ostheer infantry can do it too, but are less durable. Especially during the mid game. Once late game comes and Ostheer has vet 3 Infantry, well they all do perform quite well.

Getting to vet 3 is the trouble, allies vet much faster.
I disagree though, at V3 vs V3, allies will win every time in equal numbers.(grenades/cover not being taken into consideration here)
