how to check unit stats in coh 2 tools?

depends on which stats you're looking for... usually you'll want the entity (single squad member, so for example weapon, hp per model etc.) or the squad (whole squad stats, abilties, upgrades etc.) stats. entity stats are in ebps, squad stats are in sbps. weapon stats are ofc in weapons (damage, range, accuracy, suppression etc. etc.).
the different categories can be opened via "categories" -> "<category>" and a tab with the category will open. the actual stats are usually in a directory called "races" in the according subdirectories depending on which faction you are looking for.

Tools-> attribute editor
ebps has units within "races" and when you go in "combat" you will find a reference to weapons in hardpoints. if you right click you can go to reference to see weapon stats

My place in the ladder is irrelevant as long as I am matched with opponents of the same rank and play all factions (balance at place 1000+ is no different from balance in top 100 if we consider what I said before the brakets) so I don't care about your assertion which is also irrelevant.
