G43/LMG upgrades

Quick question: If I upgrade my guys with LMGs, and then later choose the doctrine with G43 (Jaeger Inf? I think) - if I upgrade them with G43s, do they lose the LMGs? Or vice versa.

AFAIK the squad then has a LMG, 2 G43s and a K98.

G43 and LMG on one gren squad is a very deadly combo, on vet 3 they stomp everything

Expensive though! If you lose two, and then re-inforce, do you get a G43/LMG back or is it lost?

You can drop the LMG42. AFAIK, you cannot drop the G43's.

LMG can only be dropped, rifles like G43, Kar98 can't be dropped

Just want to say, I got to use two of my standard teams (One Gren, one PGren to handle any situation) fully upgraded with the Jaeger Infantry upgrades, and they just murdered anything in their path. They engaged two units of Shock Troops, and one until of Guards Rifles. One team charged them and the other flanked from slightly behind, and they just mopped them up and most achieved vet 3. They were true Jaegers. I haven't had infantry that good since I sweeped in vCoH with Knight's Cross Holders.

Oh and I got interrogated one of the survivors for their Panzerwerfer groups. Boom baby!

How did the interrogation work? Did the location pop up on the map even when you couldn't see them?

basically you can see them on the minimap and on the tactical map, but not in the screen, they are still covered by fog of war. It's like a radio triangulation of Brits (in COH) but covers the whole map and lasts only few seconds

With the Camouflage upgrade anything with G43's act almost like Falls from COH which is awesome. It's just a shame most the doctrines suck which have them in, not to mention 90 Muni a pop per squad.

Personally I wouldn't get the g43 and LMG on one squad as they can shoot on the move with the 43s.

I'd rather get a LMG/Camo or Shrek/Camo and just keep the 43s constantly on the move.

My only issue with the G43s is how expensive they are, the Germans are already muni starved as it is.

G43s are a waste of Munis. Go LMGs. Keep Munis for Shreks,Flamer HT, off Map Arti, Grenades etc etc...

Also Grens are THE squad you are most likely to lose, right after weak Pios...and losing a squad with over 100 munition investment is horrible.

nah, G43 is really good and accurate, camo + G43 = the long missed PE fallshrimjager

since all grens can use LMGs by default, theres really no reason to use this doctrine.

and I really wanted to like it too, but I just cant find a reason to use this commander
