While COH2 has to have a crowd funded tournament, the makers of Grey Goo are holding a 75,000$ price pool tournament for an almost dead RTS. I am not saying it is a bad game and maybe I am mistaken but I do not see any activity on Steam or Twitch for this game compared to COH.
Now I agree that this is rare for a small game to do, but if they can pull it off, COH can. Relic would probably make more money with this then a new army...my 2 cents.

Still only 58 people currently online with a peak of 74 over the past 24 hours
Game is dead despite the tournament.
I would love to see Relic host a tournament like that at some point, but they should wait a few more patches until the game is highly balanced and (if we can dream) better optimized.

Maybe I should buy and learn this game in one month, if there are only a few competitors I have a good chance to win Kappa

Yeah I saw that, how does that company afford that? Lol crazy.
But I did see a post from Relic about them hosting their own tournament in the near future.

Grey Goo is cool but honestly I was in it for the campaign not the MP. By the standards of videogame SF it was sophisticated and interesting.

I'm pretty sure Relic would love to do this when the game eventually gets into a better state. No sense rushing it with wacky balance between the factions. When it comes down to it it's the developers decision when/how they want to run a tournament and I'd rather wait till Relic are ready.

Considering Relic is trying to balance their game for more than 2 years now, doesn't give me any hope for any future Esport stuff. If you want to wait for Relic being ready, you will have to wait forever.
