If I have a single replay in my replays folder, Obs'ing a game will crash COH2 (bugsplat) after about 5-10m. It happens every single time.
With no replay in my replays folder, I can obs many games with no problems.

Scratch that, it just crashed again with no replays in the folder. I have no idea what is causing this.

Have you try the famous "Verify integrity of game cache" ?
You can try also to save your replays and save game then delete folder "C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes 2".

I actually uninstalled a bunch of maps lately.
My GFX driver is the latest from NVIDIA. It was crashing before I installed it and it's crashing after I installed it.

Since writing the replays seems to have something to do with it, I am futzing with my SSD. I am suspicious of my SATA ports on my motherboard. I've moved the SSD to a different port and unplugged the little card reader (for photos n stuff). Maybe that will help. Hopefully this problem is on my end.
I'd prefer for Relic to focus on these little freezes that everyone is experiencing.

Weird, I do get these bugsplats but it only happens when I start the game up and alt tab for example, then I just need to restart the game and do nothing until I get to the main screen, which is a safe ride from there.
But you are right, Relic should focus on this issue, its ruining the experience for a lot of people.

To make myself more clear, once I get to the main screen I can alt tab with out a problem, just when the game loads up I can't do anything, not even push a button. And I can watch live games from start to finish.

I am constantly alt-tabbing.
If you have dual screen, CoH 2 set launch option "-window -fullwindow" and a taskbar on your second monitor (I use displayfusion) you don't need alt-tab to switch window. However you need in game to move camera with arrow key because if your second monitor is on your right, the cursor will jump to the second monitor if move the cursor to the right.

I can't obs a brits game in the trial for more than 5 minutes without a bugsplat.

Still getting plenty of bugsplats whilst observing live games. I fear this happening in OCF. Maybe I'll just start listing them here.

Try turning off your replays. I think this has to do with most of the bugsplats.

Just see if your game still crashes when you try to watch a game. If not, you know the problem has to do with the replays
