As above, please expand on why you would do so as well.

Also feel free to write which maps are best and why for SU.

i mainly veto these 4 maps because theyre stupidly axis sided and encourages blobbing(open ground that can easily be held by mg locking with no effort, and later on one flak HQ truck)
road to kharkov
minsk pocket
crossing in the woods (shouldnt be a 2v2 map and its broken for axis)
rzhev winter (chokepoints that funnel you through to open ground, great design)

rails and metal is the best balanced 2v2 map i can think of, SU have a great chance of winning on it with some good flanks

Which mode are we talking about?
nvm... should have read the topic title completely :luvDerp:

The usual "veto maps towards faction" is absolutely okay, meaning you veto accordingly to agression and mobility of the faction you play.

But my prefered approach is "veto accordingly to playstyle". You can mimic certain playstyles with all factions, which results in a comfortzone in possible engagements, and a more chill gameplay experience - still, factions are different, so adjustments have to be made.

As SOV just veto the maps you personally dislike, and keep a healthy commander loadout - meaning you should have commanders with different options equipped. IMO they can currently cope best with different scenarios.

Current vetos for me:
Vaux Farmlands
Lierneux
Moscow Winter
Moscow Summer - except with USF, then i veto Voda

If certain enemy units cause too much hassle for you, you might wanna veto maps they work well on.

Vetos as Axis:

Moscow Outskirts and Winter version: We do not want to risk to spawn in North. It's almost impossible to win in Moscow North as Axis versus players of equal or higher skill due to the cut off being surrounded by buildings which on the one hand get garrisoned by foes and on the other hand impede your attacks. To defend fuel and cut off at the same time seems unfeasable to me.

Bystraya Voda: This map just does not fit into 2vs2 because it is too small, basically has no flanking options and only one fuel point. Luckily Bystraya Voda will be removed soon. :hansGASM:

Rzhev Winter: Does not fit into 2vs2 either. Too large, much deep snow (very unfavourable for retreat paths...) and North position is ill. Should be removed from 2vs2 pool either.

Vetos as Allies:

Ettelbruck Station: Much close range combat included in this one but MGs are too effective here. Starting North is pretty hard for Allies since they cannot establish and defend positions as well as Axis.

Crossing in the Woods: Balanced map but too much long range. MGs and LMGs excel here as well as PaK40/43s and Raketens.

Rzhev Winter: Same reasons as above.

Bystraya Voda: Same reasons as above.
