What if those units were not banned, but the matches would be played with a mod, which would include all coming hotfix balance changes? (I am not sure if it is possible to do)

Am I understanding this correctly that the chat room will be open and there is a two hour window of time on Sunday only? I am on a business trip during that day and will be in the air for most of that window. I don't know if I will be able to get Internet access during that timeframe. Can someone explain about the login/check in

The check-in period begins at 13:00h GMT
.

You have two hours to check in on Steam.

Check-in & Communication

On the day of the tournament, all players must check in and idle in the COH2.ORG Steam group chat. How to check in:
Join the COH2.ORG Steam group chatroom
Chat the following message: '<Playername> checking in.'
Check the list on googledocs to see that you've been confirmed by the Referees.
After the check-in period, we'll make the brackets on Challonge. Once you find your opponent, you can make your match thread and start your games.

One hour and 45 minutes, to be precise. The check-in window is from 13:00h GMT to 14:45h GMT.

At 14:45h GMT the check-ins will close (absolutely no exceptions) and I will run off to a dimly lit room, lock the doors, and bar up the windows, to generate the brackets. Hopefully I can get it all done in 15m and we can publish the brackets at 15:00h GMT so that you can make your threads and start your games.

If coh2.org goes down, stay in coh2.org Steam Group Chat. We will provide all of the information to continue the tournament there (link to brackets, rules, etc).

What if someone calls a glider in a field with a OKW truck that they haven't seen yet and unintentionally kills it? Pretty low chances, but it would suck if a Relic issue cost someone a loss when they weren't deliberately trying to gib someones truck.

If you "accidentally" crush a HQ with your glider, that's your bad, sorry. It doesn't matter whether you do it intentionally or not. If it happens, and your opponent requests adjudication, he will get the win.

Why such a small window? Hopefully I won't be on a flight that whole time, will depend on how long we have to wait for take off. Can I give my log in to a friend so he can get on and sign in for me if I'm not available? Thanks

Just wondering: how are you gonna be able to play at 15:00 GMT if you're possibly not able to check in 15 minutes earlier?

^^ what he said. 1h45m is a plenty big enough window for check-ins. If you're not available and ready 15m before showtime, you're not playing.

I have 2 2 hour flights and the second might cover up the window. Assuming I can get in, how fast do we have to play our game once the bracket is set? I know you are supposed to go start a game thread.

I ask because I will have 5 to 6 hours free after my flight gets in I just wonder why there is not a larger sign up time and then make sure the game(s) has to be done by a certain deadline. Noob to esports so maybe a dumb question.

To help familiarize you with how this will work, here is an example of how the Round Headers will look if we have more than 256 players:

Round 1: RO512 (if necessary)
R1: Arnhem Checkpoint
1 (First to win 1)
Top bracket picks first

Round 2: RO256
R2: Angoville Farms
1 (First to win 1)
Top bracket picks first

Round 3: RO128
R3: Kholodny Summer
3 (First to win 2)
Top Player Allies First

Round 4: RO64
R4: Semoskiy Winter
3 (First to win 2)
Bottom Player Allies First

Round 5: RO32
R5: Arnhem Checkpoint
3 (First to win 2)
Top Player Allies First

Round 6: RO16
R6: Angoville Farms
3 (First to win 2)
Bottom Player Allies First

Round 7: Quarter-finals
DO NOT PLAY

Round 8: Final
DO NOT PLAY

Round 9: Final
DO NOT PLAY

Unforeseen events: In the event of a drop, or any other problem, both players should take manual screenshots and save the replay. It is your job to provide us all the necessary information, and if you can't provide it, we will not be able to help you.

I got wifi for my flight and I'm trying to get on steam chat room to be ready for check in. Everything is in an Eastern European language and I don't know why. How do I change my language display when I don't know the language to navigate my menu. Sample of language
Zawartość

Edit: Google translate says polish. This is so frustrating everything in my profile I've recently added is in English but all the menu options and descriptions are Polish

What if two players are matched up, both not owning the brits?
I myself as I don't own the brits, can not choose Arnhem as a map!
How can they play on Arnhem then?

If that is the case, if neither of you have the map. Please select Angloville.
