Hi.

Need some help here, i want to be able to paradrop additional units, and was trying to paradrop a squad of cloned pathfinders.

I have put the right class in the "spawn unit" place. But when I try it in game there also will spawn a group of airbornes units with the pathfinders.


How can I change this?, I only want the paraplane to spawn airdrop pathfinders. Not paratroopers.

So, did you clone the _mp version of the airplane and change all references to the squad there?

hmm I cloned the paradrop commander ability. So I probably shoulde clone the plain itself then. Thanks :-)

there are 2 paratrooper dispatches at aef side. In one of 2 there will spawn 2 squads. I think its the dispatch from the recon commander. Iy you use that ability you have to Change the spawning squads in Actions. thats maybe the reason there are spawning different squads

The plane entity controls which squads are dropped.

No there is another way. If there is an ability with a delay and a paradrop Action you can paste there a squad. Watch here: Squad to spawn <null> just click on your wished squad there.

Of course, you can do it however you want. However, it does not change the fact that, by default, the plane entity controls which squads are dropped (in the flight_ext). Also, it is more precise, because the squad is dropped along the flight path of the plane.

yes thats true. just wanted to make sure that there are other ways to spawn Units because he said there were 2 different squads ;)

Yeah I figured it out, First I had to clone a plane from ebps, then I cloned a plane on sbps, and then i cloned an ability from the ability menu.

and thus I managed to create different airdropped units, vehicles, team weapons and resources,


On more question though, there is no parachute on those pathfinder troops, is it possible to configure this?

You would have to edit the .abp files and add the parachute model.

Okay watched your abp. tutorial on youtube, and checked the abp. file for pathfinders, but all that is listed there are weapons.. Am I missing something?
