Usually Kappa is preceded by another statement by you or someone else that is Kappa-able.

Example: Rear Echelon Troops are too cost effective with M1A1s, make them spawn with M1911s Kappa

Kappa is not just an emote.

Many take it to mean sarcasm or trolling, but no honest troll is so honest about his trolling.
And sarcasm is a biting, harsh derision, or cutting remark.
The context it's used in does not mesh with the commonly accepted definition.

No; look at those pressed lips. One half in the shadow, it curls up.
His cheeks raised slightly as one would as squinting or trying to hold back a smile.
It's playful. A lightness shines through, a calm lack of seriousness.

Kappa is a way of life.

Also, remember that people just use it ironically - like when they're actually being serious Kappa

It was originally a mushy type of stone bread that poor tribes in the Madagascar ate. It's now a word to convey brotherhood amongst the select few who lost their teeth eating it (it had zero nutritional value) and means essentially "hey brother, I know too what it feels like to lie face down in the dirt and wear goofy clothes, I got your back".

That should clear things up.

Kappa is a emote that is used by gamers who have no real life. The more you use kappa in a chat the more it shows that the person has no rl. So if your in a twitchchat, just spam kappa and everyone will love you as they will belive that you like them have no rl. Kappa is a way of life.
