Hi,
I'm finding difficult to use certain abilities compared to CoH1.
In CoH1 if the order to fire a panzerfaust or throw a grenade was given it would happen (except if enemy unit vanish in the FOW).
In CoH2 some times nothing happens and I have to reissue the command.
It's just me or others are noticing this too?
Nothing to do with ordering units in group to use an ability, I know that won't work.
I got the idea that is linked with the unit being disturbed by something, like forced to move because other unit passes by, but not sure.
Can someone help me to understand this new mechanics?

Are your units losing sight of the target? With True Sight some weird fog of war can pop up and obscure the enemy for a fraction of a second, breaking the ability and forcing you to trigger it again.

It can explain some cases, maybe a brush or tree trunk...

Same thing could happen in CoH1, but with TrueSight in CoH2, it's a lot more prevalent. I'd like to see a "grace period" where your attacking unit will continue to pursue its target for a couple seconds even after it's disappeared into the Fog of War. If I'm chasing you and I see you turn around the corner, I'm not going to stop just because I can't see you anymore. I'm going to continue around that corner.

i had the same problem
it seemed as if half of the time my granades were no fired.
i solved it by switching to the gridkey layout and now only using the shortcuts for the abilities.

Shortcuts or not should not make a difference... still don't understand.
