Hello, I'm new to CoH and starting to learn.
Do you run 1 engineer or 2 engineers?
With only 1 engineer, I find difficult to manage all the tasks such as tech-up and building fuel caches. If I start with additional engineer, however, my early cap power weakens compared to 3-4 conscripts without engineer. I can recover with flamer scout car later but I guess early dominance snowballs hard in this game. So I wonder if there is a good time to add second engineer.
1 engi or 2 engis?

i think,
if you use flamer scout car, you need second engineer.
but if you don't use that, you don't need second engineer.

two most common builds are
-initial engineer squad
-2x conscripts
-engineer
-T1 building
-clown car
OR
-initial engineer
-3x conscript
-retreat engs
-Tech building
most people go T1 building in both, but you can switch it up if need be. having two engineers is nice later because you'll need the repairs for T-34's anyways

for both T1 and T2 openings, I go 2 engies.
For T1 - I send the first engie to cap because you want the muni income to flow in. Then I get the 2nd engie to build
For T2 - I build 2 engies, tech then retreat my closer engie and build T2
Soviets
Regardless of what I do with soviets, I build one Engie because Conscripts are actually great. They're much better than the EF mod ones and can definitely fight. Then I use that engie to build and tech or if my engie is engaged, I build another one.

Permanently BannedFlamer Engies are super effective vs Ostheer infantry (as the flame dmg completely bypasses armor, and chains criticals), especially vs the numerically subpar Ostheer Support infantry crews (which are only 3 man, as opposed to the design congruent 4 man they should be).
I recommend building 2 Flamer engies in 1v1, in all cases, as long as this differential exists.
