45 days. "Best army and equipment in the world." Still took the Deutschbags only 45 days to force a surrender.
Just saying.

(1) They got cheesed. Even the skilled lose to that from time to time
(2) French high command was *really* *really* bad at the beginning. If they'd had enough Chars and kept them together, they'd have been fine.

Eheheheh.
In all honesty, there is no such thing as "cheese" in real warfare.
It's kind of like saying you shouldn't kick people's balls or go for their throat / kneecaps in a real life fight.
Additionally, French high command is part of the army, therefore, if they are of poor quality, the entire army in general becomes of lesser quality. Things should be distinguished in this way. More accurate language than "best army" must be demanded.

TL;DR, they lost as un-square and unfairly it may or may not have been.
But try to avoid going for the surrender-monkey joke, that's one just a bit mean and ignores French soldiers still died fighting.

How did the get cheesed? They built a huge SimCity at Maginot Line (it should have been included in SimCity 2000 demo cities pack) and thought they are the military pr0s or something, that wasn't Civilization V to believe that alliances would save everything and everyone. And then they got #rekt when Germany used their ebin tactics to fly over the mountains and have fun with French ladies. This is also what happens when Brits will be introduced to coh2: the rages of thousands n00bs when they get crushed by average
