So have unit stats been removed from the game or am I just not looking in the right place? How do I know which infantry unit is better against tanks for example; against infrantry? If this has been hidden from the player that's all I really need to know about this sequel. I'm not going to buy a dumbed-down-for-the-mass-market game.

The stats in COH1 that were shown were very dumbed down and were often very misleading to the point that they were really quite useless other than seeing if they were holding a weapon. The description will give you an idea of the unit's capabilities but you will pick it up pretty quick by just playing...

Most of those "stats" were never correct in CoH1.
There is CoH2stats: http://coh-moderncombat.com/CoH2Stats/
which is kind of like coh1-stats, although not as complete (yet?).
Maybe this helps you, although you'd need to do a lot of number crunching.
Overall, CoH2 does not have a target table like CoH1. This makes it a bit more consistent (but a bit harder to completely balance).

I've seen some new units on this site? Partisants, new AT for soviets, even AT rifle for germans (what would be a good idea IMO)

Some of the units are from singleplayer or maybe Tug of War or whatsitcalled.

Most of those "stats" were never correct in CoH1.Thanks for posting. Most of the information on that web site should be available in game. Clearly some asinine decision was made by the publisher that this was too complicated to show to the player since we're all a bunch of apes. Very annoying.

I've seen a UI mockups where someone included the stats down at the bottom where right now there are just useless descriptions about the unit's favorite food and stuff. That would be soooooo helpful for new players, but no, CoH 2 hides everything so that only the elite will know to check online for the stats.

adamírcz: Might be onto somethin here, combine side armour existing, maps where flanking is a viable option, and hopefully also heavies actually being less manouverable than mediums (lookin at you coh2), and it might be fun gameplay
