I'm looking for some feedback, improvements, criticism, etc. for the skin I've been working on. So far I think I'm done with the Panther. Next will be the Tiger.

Panther
Panther 2

Huge thanks to eliwOOd for his tutorials. They helped a ton!

Very nice! I will definitely keep an eye on these. :)

Any chance you have plans for a PzKpfW IV Ausf. J?

It would be awesome to see the proper mesh skirts on that puppy.

Glad my tutorials helped! :D

Thanks guys!
@ eliwood:
Plans are to first finish the heavy tanks, then onto medium armor using the same pattern. So yes, I'd love to try to recreate the "mesh" skirts.

@Erguvan:
Thanks!

@Ordo_31:
Hasn't been released yet because I've only completed the Panther. Hopefully in the next week or so I can get them all done.

@CasTroy:
Thank you my friend!

btw, do you think these would look better with a ton of muck and mud on them, or leave them somewhat "clean" as I have it now?

I fancy this idea. Those skins would look much more realistic and battle-proved. I would definitely consider muck and mud. :thumb:

How is your work coming along? Some of the guys mentioned you were working on a very similar camouflage to the one I'm working on. looks like your doing some very nice work. Will be good to see them all together when your finished.

@Mirage357: I'd really like to see your progress as well.

Time willing, I'll get a chance to work on the Puma and halftracks today.

Also, I tried messing with the normal map/alpha channel to see if I could make mesh side skirts for the panzer IV, but have had zero luck. Anyone have ideas, or point me the right direction as how to make parts of a model transparent? Or is this not possible considering we can't modify the model itself?

Sure thing, I'll be posting on my progress fairly soon. My set for Ostheer is nearly complete bar a few tweaks here and there to make things look perfect. For the most part I'm quite happy with things but the biggest thing I need to fix is to rescale the actual camouflage for each vehicle so they look just right, because some of them just don't feel quite right.

Personally I've mixed things up a little and made the camouflage on some tanks look faded as though in was painted on a while ago and has started to fade away. For example my Stugs look extremely faded almost washed back to the yellow drab underneath. Whilst on my PIV's the colours are strong and quite defined.

Finally finished this skin pack. I ended up changing the color and pattern a bit as I wasn't satisfied with how they looked.
Here's the steam link and a few pics:

Hey Starbuck,

I had a suggestion for your Ambush skins:

Try changing the attributes so that they apply to both german and west_german races at the same time.

Then, you would only need one Skin Pack. It seems like both Skin Packs currently include both sets of skins, anyways.

Just a thought!

eliw00d: Thanks for the suggestion. After I had released all of the separate skin packs, I then realized that I could do exactly as you described. OOPS!
From now on I will do just that so people don't have to d/l multiple HUGE files for something that could be released as one.

I feel a bit embarrassed I did it that way, but I'm learning as I go...
Thanks again for the input! Your contributions are much appreciated.
